This video was produced by an art crew from Japan called Rinpa Eshidan, and in it, the artists paint on a Mini Cooper. I chose this particular clip because I have been a fan of their time-lapse videos for a while, and it is great that their work is being noticed by the masses.

Hi everyone, my name is Jessica Necor and I am a senior in the Visual Arts emphasis at the Oakland School for the Arts. As a second year YAAW intern, my experience here has been a lot different than my first year, two years ago, and I’m happy to be back.

First day at YAAW!

so far I have been having a blast at YAAW. Everyone is welcoming and open towards me and that makes me feel very happy and comfortable here. I have been learning lots of new things from video storyboarding to capoeira and am hoping to learn much more on the course of the program.

This video is one I love for it’s old fashioned texture and colors. I also like the choreography of the whole clip in the dances. It adds to the dramatic feel along with the low lighting and opaque colors and smoke.

YAAW Thoughts.

I’m definitely glad I decided to reapply to the Young Artists at Work program and will have another interesting year participating in it as an alumni intern. With the new schedule of both the program and myself, I’ll probably have some difficulties making sure I arrive on time. Eventually, that problem will be be fixed once my school’s 3rd quarter starts and I can talk to my mom about arranging a good time to pick me up and take me to BART.  Otherwise, I know that I will be having a great time getting to know the new interns and attending the classes.

Sin City – City of Delusion (Muse Music Video)

I found this fan-made music video while trying to search for an official video of the song “City of Delusion” by Muse. It uses scenes from the movie Sin City throughout the video to correspond to the lyrics. Ever since I saw this video, I have been dying to see the actual movie, though I would prefer to find a DVD of it rather than watch it online.

Hello my name is Manuel Tovar and I am a second year student here at YBCA’s YAAW program and first off I would like to thank all who helped me get into YAAW the first time for the reason being that I love being in the YAAW program it was and still is one of the best things I did from the people I met to the dances and teachers I have that teach me. since this is my second year here and since the program has changed since the last year it’s like a whole new experience and I’m happy to be a part of it.
